You men. Making us fret over how we look! Jeesh!!!!

Just teasing LOL!!

I had to step on one every six months in the Army. If I was over a certain weight, it was all over.
No they do not kick you out right then, but all promotions awards stop on that day.
You are enrolled in a monitor program and given six months. If you do not meet it, bye bye, many years
down the drain. So it is not always women only. :happy2:

The scary part is what some of the guys (and gals) would do to try to "make weight". Sales of Ex-Lax surged the week of weigh-ins.

I never understood that practice. I hate diarrhea as it is, why would I take something to ensure i have it? Weird.

The difference between an Honorable Discharge, and an Other type motivates one to this extreme.

Imagine you are an E-6 that has fought weight for years and you have 12 years in hoping to make E-7 (the highest you can go is E-9)

The day before weight in, you are 2 pounds over. One does all they can to shed those two pounds.

Sauna for four hors, Ex-Lax etc.

Why? Weight limits are clearly defined. These guys (and gals) wait until the last minute to "make weight" when they had all year to do so.

This would be like us showing up to work on the day that our DOT certification has expired.
