Message: <blockquote data-quote="DriveInDriѵeOut" data-source="post: 1191689" data-attributes="member: 44954">I've got no problem with increasing police presence in high crime areas, that is common sense.  However, stop and frisk itself is a failure.  Somewhere around 2% of the stops yield results.  So 98 out of 100 stops, the officer was wrong in his assumption of "reasonable" cause for a search.  I agree we should definitely focus police forces in high crime areas, whether they are mostly minority, or white neighborhoods.  I still think that stop and frisk in any area is wrong though.  We have a duty to protect them, not to violate their rights and just say it's ok because it's for their own good.</blockquote>
