One of the consequences of committing a felony or inflicting domestic violence is that the guilty person forfiets their right to possess firearms. I wont minimize or make excuses for my poor choices in the past, but in my case I have no criminal record. I never got a DUII. I have never been arrested, charged with or convicted of any crime. In my entire lifetime I have had a grand total of one speeding ticket...25 years ago when I was 19. So the fact that I am a recovering alcoholic is pretty much irrelevant to the question of whether or not I should be allowed to own guns.</blockquote>
