Wow, Dill. I took you for a little more level headed than that. You really believe one is that directly tied to the other? Crime rates have been declining for the last decade and you want to say it's all because of gun ownership? It may have something to do with it, but it's a stretch, like Al Gore inventing the internet. I'm around convicts all the time. Know what their afraid of? Jail time, a criminal record that stays with them forever, no decent job prospects, other criminals with guns. Afraid of decent people with guns? No. Not really. The mind of a criminal doesn't always work that way. Why? Because I am a conceited jack ass. First off, if I'm breaking into your house, I have a gun too and it doesn't even enter my mind that you can out-shoot me. I am the fastest, strongest, baddest, mo-fo on the block. If it's me or you, say good-night Dill. You gotta realize the mindset these people have. You probably have more to live for than the hardened criminal and he's willing to roll the dice. So maybe you feel more safe, but don't think for a moment it's because the criminal mind has suddenly become afraid of an armed public. Hell, the criminal mind is probably raking in a fortune selling to the armed public.
