Capitalism is not perfect, especially when governments and corporations create Crony capitalism. But it’s far better than any other system.

Dodge and GM would not have even survived 2008 if the government would have let natural selection take place. Now the CEO is making $30 million and screwing her workers after we the taxpayers, bailed her company out….. crony capitalism picks winners, and losers, and does not let pure capitalism take its natural course.
My take is ive done a ton of unionized jobs and its never reasonable.
Capitalism concentrates too much power like its predecessors.
In the case of paid vacation, it is left to the free market, and the outcome is worse than if it were planned by law of say 7 weeks paid vacation a year. i know america has anti union law taft hartley, but its like that here too.
Most guys i listen to are anti capitalist, pro worker control

I’m union, I have 7 weeks, I live in America. Maybe your union just sucked? I am pro worker.
Every union job i did was like that and i did 5 so far

Well, I would say it’s mostly because you were not a very good union member either. The fallacy that there is some upper echelon union guys doing everything is not true. Good union members push their leaders to get more. Union membership is an active participation if you want a good outcome.
The collective agreement was already in place.
Btw you know as well as i do that you were in the same boat and you only got your 7 weeks after many years of service. so dont go against your religion as if thats not true.

I’ll let you in a little secret @rickyb every few years those collective agreements are renegotiated. If you ever had the balls to stay somewhere long enough to make a change, you would know that. You are not pro worker you’re a pro yourself.
Were talking about vacation and being honest. you have to be stronger than that and be more consistently honest

They were earned, something you’ve never been able to do in your life, you’re waiting for a hand out from the government, and you’ll be disappointed your whole life just like your disappointment now.
