Message: <blockquote data-quote="bbsam" data-source="post: 1572619" data-attributes="member: 22662">Probably not.  The only reason Iran is talking is because of sanctions.   If we are seen as the ones who break off talks, the other nations  (the ones that Iran does most of their trade with) may decide to suspend sanctions.   Who wins then?  Iran.  As long as the talks go on, the sanctions continue.Now imagine this:  The US walks, the sanctions break down and Iran is suddenly empowered economically to bolster their activities in Libya,  Yemen, Syria, and Iraq.  How does that further American interests?Now if we "grow a pair and walk", what have we gained besides some short-lived self-satisfaction?</blockquote>
