OK, ding-a-ling, here's today's lesson on Corporate America. FedEx eliminated the pension because they could, not because they were in financial difficulty. Unlike the airlines, FedEx was, and is,very profitable. FedEx was well able to continue funding employee pensions, but instead chose to pocket the money as profit and pay-out additional millions to it's already over-compensated top executives. They spun all of the adverse publicity about airline pensions into a campaign to eliminate FedEx pensions. You see, great dense one, FedEx isn't even an airline, although they'd like you to think they are. They, like UPS, are a systems integrator, which means that they offer a complete array of shipping and IT services through a family of companies like FedEx Freight, FedEx Ground, and FedEx Trade Networks, among others. It's called GREED, and if you think that FedEx gives a damn about any of it's people except the top tier of execs, you're sadly out of touch. You are so ill-informed that it amazes me. Do you EVER read anything other than People Magazine? Just how high is your almighty husband anyway? If he's really up there, he's a beneficiary of screwing-over all the rest of us so HE could have more. In short, they took away our retirement so your husband could have a better one. Thank him for me, would you? Is Sarah Palin a relative of yours....your endless positive spin without regard for the facts sounds just like her.
