It was sad that my employer expected so much of my time that I couldn't get to the gym. That's one of many reasons I quit. Ah, yes, piece meal payment. I'm sure you are so generous as to set it at a level that any of your guys could make as much per hour as a UPS driver, if only they drove over lawns, through red lights, and worked at a pace that is likely to permanently injury them. You're right. It's probably crazy for me to assume that any of your drivers could ever hope to make anything close to what I make. Not to mention South Dakota. Too bad we keep listening to the "experts" who have not gotten a single thing correct, instead of the ones who actually know what they are talking about. I have been following the professor of theoretical epidemiology at Oxfotd, Sunetra Gupta. She has been spot on the entire time. But the left hates brown people and women so much they chose to listen to white man, Neil Ferguson from Imperial College, who has gotten everything exactly wrong the whole time.

The left hates Dr. Gupta so much, that her lead-in info listed on Google's search results page just a few weeks ago listed her top honorific as "novelist". Now it's saying "epidemiologist." Hopefully they'll fix that soon and give her her proper title "Professor". Their hatred of the success of brown women is palpable.

You said you couldn’t hack it in a professional environment and switched to truck driving. No assumptions made by me, just your words admitting you can’t compete and need union protection to remain employed. Some of us prefer competition and the rewards that come with success based on merit.

Nah, you assumed I couldn't hack it. I only listed two reasons for quitting it. One being excessive demand on my time, the other being poor compensation. I could have stayed in that job like an idiot. But I chose a job that pays better and allows me to get exercise. I guess I could have chosen one that was just as physical and paid poorly so that lazy jerks could be semi-retired at my expense, but I made the right choice.

In the full time job I had while waiting to go full time at UPS, they were able to terminate two other full time guys after hiring me because of my efficiency and the quality of my work. They offered me the manager's job, but understood that they couldn't match the compensation I would make driving. I've made management or supervision roles in every job I've ever had. No one wants to pay what I'm worth, so I went with the company that would, even if I'm not being used to my full potential. Such is life.

Some people have made a good living from FedEx. It’s abnormal for people that stay at an entry level to do that in any industry. There’s not much benefit to giving more to your employees than you need to.

You really want to keep doubling down on stupid. You think I should give my post tax income to my employees? That’s an even dumber idea than giving them raises. Stick to van dwelling where you have experience.

Only a few guys opt out of insurance. It costs them $30-50/week, deductible is either $6k or $2k depending on the plan they choose. You guys complain about things you don’t have any knowledge or understanding of, it’s very strange.
