As a result old dogma's can perpetuate throughout the medical field for a while. Atkins was about 20 years, or more, ahead of the times. Everyone thought he was nuts, and now all the studies are supporting his findings. It's not a phenomenon that is confined to medicine, or science. So I talk about the things that I find to be true, and respect others' right to do the same. It's generally a waste of time to try to change people's minds, though I do like to present different views and challenge assumptions.</p></blockquote><p></p>
