Media Bias

I think the younger generation, those that haven’t had a very good education, or haven’t been taught critical thinking skills in our schools today, are more susceptible to the propaganda. I’ve been around the block a few times, had a traditional education where we weren’t force fed ideas. I’m more skeptical and suspicious of the media than many today.

So in short, you observe and think for yourself! BINGO. Not much of that going around. Most everyone thinks they have to be on “a side.” I don’t have to be on any side.

That generation is more likely to get their news from social media than traditional news sources. Nothing wrong with that as such but they lack a BS filter to be able to be able to tell real news from sensationalism.

I do not want to make this into a religious thread so this is the last I will say. I was brought up in church (religion) I was high up in the church (religion) of many denominations and what I seen and experienced has turned me completely away from any religion.
Oh god

My dad quit religion in his teens i think. He thought they were hypocrites at his church.

I went to a local church but i wasnt impressed

Its seems like many religious ppl dont take it seriously in practice and lie to themselves

I thought religion could have been stupid but george lucas says he wouldnt want star wars to replace religion

So i remained with my christian ministers chris hedges, james cone, william barber, and cornel west

I think thats called tribalism

Im on the side of truth
once again you have it exactly backwards. Tribalism is being part of a group or entity. Kinda what you accuse him of. You claim to side with truth. So do your political opponents. Funny how both sides seem to be on the side of truth

No I don’t want selective editing. But if a news network is saying how horrible it is to show an app and then they show the app it is on them. They set the standards not me. Why would you defend these scum bags. My dad was saying how horrible it was to show the app on CNN until I pointed out FOX just showed it to more viewers than CNN has ever shown it to. At least he seemed upset. You seem to try to justify it. I emailed Hannity and told him what an ass he was for getting the information out to more people than CNN would have. You are sounding like a liberal, justify your news source and condemning the others for the same news. Just understand FOX news is liberal news for people that think they are conservative. There are multiple levels of Being a conservative and I look at someone that can watch FOX news and not want to question them as a liberal conservative. There is nothing wrong with that but don’t try to question me for holding FOX to the standard they hold liberal news channels to.
I think you just laid out exactly what you thought about FOX well before this app issue. Somewhere along the way they said something that rankled you and you're looking to rip into them. I have heard Sean Hannity on occasion say things I disagree with. I used to be the biggest supporter of Tucker Carlson on this forum but I strongly disagree with some of his positions. There is no perfect news gathering organization and we as consumers have to remember they all represent agendas. It's why I get most of my news from multiple sources and decide for myself. I'm not interested in litmus tests and crapping on those I disagree with unless they are advocating very harmful things like permanently disfiguring children. But you do you.

WHOA! Kristi Noem Says She’s Working with DOJ to Prosecute CNN For Promoting ICE Tracking App.

@vantexan Do you think they should also go after FOX news? I do. Fox has a much bigger audience than CNN. Let’s not be liberals and only be for our side while against the other side for doing the same thing.
I’m going to email Kristi and say that FOX promoted the app also and want them prosecuted. I’m sure you will do the same.
The difference is CNN was making people aware of the app so that they could avoid ICE and possibly even ambush ICE agents. FOX on the other hand wasn't promoting the app but was reporting on the controversy because it's a legitimate news story. If you can't tell the difference then that's your problem.

Both news organizations were making people aware of the app. If the DOJ goes after one they should go after the other. It doesn’t matter their intent that‘s how the law works. FOX could have edited out the name of the app very easily.. No one could have child porn on their phone and think they are protected because they were going to show other people to “report on“ how bad it is. I don’t care for FOX but here is the strange thing. “Most“ everyone watching FOX will be for the DOJ going after CNN but will make excuses for why they shouldn’t go after FOX for showing the same exact thing. That my friend sounds like the way Democrats think. So just like you said I don’t like FOX and am bias yet you are bias just in the opposite direction. There is no problem with either and both are OK. It seems I agree with you on 99% of the issues, I was just floored when I saw what I saw on FOX so I had to point it out. No hard feelings.

I should get this app.
So that I can go cheer for the agents as they do their jobs.

Some places are either delaying or cancelling their July 4th Events, so that their illegals will "feel" safer.
That is just plain stupid.

It’s a convenient excuse to shut it down if you hate America anyway.
