We were all told we had a meeting last week. So we all went to what we thought was our little group meeting. Nope it was all the drivers in the building. Management said in a nutshell, You may drive for a diffrent Company but you drive under the FEDEX Brand so you answer to us. Now I ask you should we only answer to our Contractor? It's like we work at target but answer to walmart management. Ground is making strides to be more efficient sure, The new system they have implemented in which is a printed up manifest of our stops and pieces does not work. I am sure they will get it hammered out after awhile but the point is I don't care how easy you make the job it doesn't change the fact that you have a extremley under paid workforce doing the work. If you want the business and the service from the Ground over at UPS maybe start with making the employees middle class again. Until then you will have a workforce that does not care. In my building there are alot of Contractors driving again which I find funny. Alot of guys have quit and moved on, to nobody's surprise these Contractors cannot get anyone in to match the standards that FedEx wants for the pay they are peddling. Hint 500 a week for 70 hours is under minimum wage.
