Nashville explosion

Probably. The RV was setup with speakers blaring the message that it was a bomb and would detonate in 15 minutes. Pretty sure anyone would have responded the same way. Plenty of situations where I'd prefer a cop to a social worker, but in this particular case it really wouldn't matter.
Police rush into these situations. Will social workers? Or will they let things cool down before dealing with problem. Will social workers address public safety, putting themselves at risk to clear the area?

I would hope no fool rushes into this type of situation. Follow the training and set up a perimeter and evacuate the area.

Of course not !!! They are social worker's . They don't get paid to put their lives on the line . They get paid to work with people . And I would think that a lot of these workers would quit if they were asked to do anything else but work with people and children with their issues !!!

There’s rumors spreading about the bomb targeting AT&T’s servers because they were storing something significant. Makes since when you consider it was done at the best possible time to avoid loss of life. And also included an evacuation recording.

First thing the authorities will be looking for security cameras to back track the movement of the RV.

Next the serial numbers on the RV will be found and another team will compile it's history.

Since no group has stepped up to claim it , yet.
Many will follow the "lone wolf " theory.

The human remains said to have been found could be a red herring.

This whole incident could have been a diversion for another crime taking place elsewhere in the city.
Knocking out communications and tying up the police.

Well no liberal group can be responsible for this act.
The broadcasted message was only done in English.
If a liberal groups was responsible the message would have been broadcasted in multiple languages.
With someone standing next to it doing sign language

Every handled situation would have to have a temporary safe place they could go to and share their feelings.
I don't think you all have met many social workers. Which is good. I don't recommend it. Caring, empathetic, or sensitive are not words that come to mind.

I have a good friend who’s a social worker. She’s all of those things until someone starts trying to play her. Then she becomes a complete bad ass.

Same here. Seems most good ones either don't last (ie move onto something better) or suffer from compassion fatigue and become the type of person I was talking about.

One thing that's not mentioned. When a crime is committed it's often not tied up into a pretty bow by arriving officers. Detectives have to investigate and try to figure out who did what. That's not social work. What's also not covered is the reasoning behind getting rid of the police. It's not because cops react with violence to every situation. It's because people are arrested, taken to jail, put into the system. The push is on to decriminalize many actions. Prosecutors in a number of cities are saying they aren't going to prosecute many crimes. Might as well have a social worker go out and try to reason with people rather than a cop arresting them if they aren't going to be charged and prosecuted anyways. And in those cities where this is going on there's been a corresponding rise in crime. Shocking!
