We had a driver call in sick yesterday. He had hurt his back over the weekend and had a doctor's note. They had a 160 stop split route that they suddenly had no coverage for and had to cut it and divide the stops among the other drivers in that loop. center manager told him they would give him a helper for the whole day if he would just come in and drive--he said no. He will be back in today and I would not want to have the dispatch that will be waiting for him.

It doesnt even matter if they give you a warning letter for calling in sick. They would still have to wait till your 6th occurence to progress to a suspension.
