If I took a buyout I don't understand how it would hurt the union? I mean somebody has to run the route so in theory it would just give a pter an opportunity to get a ft spot?
Like the video says . It’s not in any contract agreement: so someone right now has 30 years and gets a nice buyout : well how about the guy who has 27 years ; he wants his buyout in 3 years too. So do we all get that at the end ? If not ; it’s not fair , it’s not allowed in my eyes

Maybe some of the liw seniority guys will be happy to keep working because of the buyouts

I agree. Its kind of like taking other supplemental pension contributions. Can't believe the Teamsters would allow UPS to do such a thing.

Oh wait....

A buyout would make sense for 35+ yr pt. Replace them with new hires, no vacation holidays or health insurance for a year and making almost 50% less than the 35+ year ones they replace.

This.... I've got the years but I'm only 52....do I get a buyout at 55?
