I looked up this old thread to give first hand experience of an OAO while riding around with my supervisor today and when I saw this post it made me think about how you say you call some pick ups, so you can avoid going to them if they have no pkgs. Does the above post mean that even after you call them you drive by so that you can stop complete the p/u at the correct address? If that's the case, isn't the phone call unnecessary? Probably has to do with the name.:happy2: I had the privilege of joining my supe and then my mngr on OAO's today. We did 2 seperate observations. One was a seasoned 20+ year driver and the other was a Gillette "Young Gun". The mgmt guys didn't do the observations as though they had it in for any of the driver's. I was actually impressed that we did an OAO on each type of driver. No excuses were made for the many more infractions of the Young Gun, though we saw quite a few. Both driver's will be talked to about the observations, but I don't think any discipline will be handed out, and I honestly don't believe discipline is required. I hope the driver's will learn from their mistakes, make the proper adjustments, and move on.
