Yes I have and I do know what the contract says. But I am being told probably won't get to take it because of staffing issues. We are on a 2nd hiring freeze in the last 3 months as well. I feel I should not be denied my option day, but management says different.

I have never had an attendance issue. Ive had several years with zero call ins. If i request an optional, and it is for a day i actually need off, i just tell em im not gonna be here, and if i need to i will call in. Its never made it to that point . Long story short, if you dont have an attendance problem, just call in
