Lenticular clouds pass in sweeping layers over the port village of Fionnphort on the Isle of Mull
in the Inner Hebrides.

The high-altitude lens-shaped formations often have a smooth, saucer-like shape and have sometimes
been mistaken for UFOs.

These are called lenticular clouds and I have been lucky enough to capture a couple.
One was over Mt Rainer ... it is one I like a lot.
Caught it on film ... one of these days I will have to find the negative and scan it in.
