It doesn't really matter, as the travesty is in the "what it means" category and the lack of context.  The purpose isn't to get you to believe a collection or series of events, but rather to come away from the course(s) with certain attitudes and beliefs about society.  The gist of it is that our society is riddled with problems, all of which are the fault of the white male patriarchy and can be solved if the white male patriarchy is sufficiently and severely punished.Again, this isn't K-12, but it's been taught in colleges for decades.</blockquote>
