When you go to Walmart I'm sure they'll take your furs and firewood as payment for your groceries. Even today when electronic transfer goes down for a couple of hours in a limited area people freak out. And since your decades ahead of me please tell me how the Ukrainian war will be settled ? What will the new world order be like in 2031?

What makes you think cash will be worth anything? Ever heard of inflation.....?

Did I say anything about cash as an investment? What I was pointing to was keeping a little more cash in your possession in case a cyber attack takes down the electronic payment/transfer system. If it were to happen you don't know how long it could be down. . In the meantime you might still be able to find a gas station or a grocery store where you could buy supplies and pay with cash.

Just2 years ago we were self sufficient in oil. we now send our natural gas over to Europe creating a false shortage here so they can charge more. We don’t stand a chance it’s too bad.

We get less than 3% of our oil from Russia and Pelosi stated publicly that she wants it to end. Right now the majority of Russian oil goes to the Boston area due to the lack of oil pipelines extending into the region.

If Putin were to launch a cyber attack among the first to likely to be hit would be the US banking and electronic transfer system. Credit cards, debit cards etc. Perhaps it might be a good idea to keep some extra cash on hand in case cash becomes the only medium of exchange while the damage is being repaired and the system brought back on line.
