Question about the contract

At our center we have lost a number of full time drivers due to terminations and retirement. The company has hired about 5 more part time "cover drivers" and has not promoted the current 4 that have been driving for a while, some 5+ years! Can the company keep doing this? It seems Ups is leaning towards more part time employees so they can pay them less. Any other centers out there doing this?

Basically UPS can do whatever they want, get use to it.

you need to read your supplement and see what it says about PT drivers. In my area we don't have PT driver we only have FT and casual drivers that are hire seasonally. We do have PT preloader and local sort people that drive sat air but that the only time PTimers drive.
