You know, I have to be honest but honestly, I don't like the feeling of "layoff" been floating around across the country. If we're going to get DHL's volume then why UPS all the sudden have to jump on it and start laying off people but as it does every year, they layoff new hires only that helped thru peak and it should've been fine right there. Our union is going to have a big headache on this many things and it'll be very very difficult to pull this off to make UPS to do the right thing with the contract but UPS's are ment to be broken promises and contract as they always do in many years. Even though can't really imagine being layoff from 2 to 4 months or till volumes returns. As for me, it is been 4 months that I've been layoff from 22.3 combo full time at the airport and moved me to the hub and even to this now, I still never forgive and still angered to the company laying 31 of us off while we do have the normal volumes since then and even now, we do still have the volumes to work with because we do still have good business around here and good customers who still trust with the company. Hopefully for the best, things should turned around at anytime.
