Prayers to all involved. I hope everything turns out for the good. Such a tragic story. On a partially related note, I had an issue just yesterday with my power steering. A small leak somewhere in the system had depleted all the fluid and I drove the truck back to the shop to get it refilled. I learned something that I didn't know while talking to the mechanic. As he was checking the system and refilling the fluid he asked me if I was having trouble with the hand brake. I told him it that yes in fact I was having problems. It just didn't seem to hold the truck even though I had adjusted the brake as tight as I could. He told me that the power steering fluid level also affected the hand brake system and that being out of fluid is very dangerous. I had no idea that was the case. Just wanted to post that in case others might not be aware of that as well. I'm in a 1995 P1000. Glad I brought the truck back to the center even on one of the heaviest days of the year. <phew>
