Should I quit?

I am a student and have gotten another part-time job, but have only been working at UPS as a loader/unloader for a week. I only spend 2-3 hours a day working Sunrise though, which isnt enough hours to cover anything, so should I just up and call the HR department and resign? I don't remember being under contract.

What should I do? <img>

I would quit unless you're interested in the benefits. The starting pay is not worth it.

If you have another part time job....does it have the benefits as your preloader job?
As another poster suggested, are you getting the minimum 3.5 hours each shift?
Are you being asked or do you volunteer to double shift if it doesn't conflict with your school?
Is the cost of keeping your preload job putting you in debt?
Are you willing to stick it out until you start getting your raises?
Assuming you work at a reasonably big hub, does your other job offer the opportunity to bid on other jobs, which might be easier, and at different start times while you accrue seniority for a possible shot at pkg cars AFTER YOU GET YOUR DEGREE?

These are questions only you can answer.

Why call HR? Just do what a lot of punks do and don't come back after break. The rosy glow of taillights disappearing into the blackness. Why did you take the job in the first place?
