I can't quite tell if the first part of this is a joke. I can almost guarantee that the entire thing was her idea. No sup has threatened to do this while I've worked there. But then again, I don't know what I don't know. In the time I've worked here, I've never missed a day and only shown up late one time... because I woke up to a flat tire and it was pouring down rain. Even then I only came in 5-10min late... soaked. My sup at the time seemed to praise me for coming in rather than scold me about being late. Drivers are always pleased with my work, and some of them even go out of their way to deliver a misload if it is within their area, so that it doesn't get counted against me. Management KNOWS that I "bust my ass". I don't recall any of them ever questioning my efforts. So the issue becomes that... if this vile woman does what she says she is going to do, she will be messing with those who should be considered assets to the center, along with those who don't really care, or don't try. Again, I don't see how this is anyone's idea but hers. I doubt the shift manager wants to see their entire operation full of new hires. They'd have more misloads per day than packages. Anyway, I think my question was answered. Although nobody stated specific contract words. Maybe I'll ask my steward about it today when I speak to him on another matter.
