I don't watch any news station much but do read their online reports and their own web pages. From multiple sources including in their own words.

Most people watch many networks because they aren't watching news programming 24/7. SyFy for the spooky movies, ABC for Shondra Rhimes, History Channel for Pawn Stars and Counting Cars, A&E for 1st 48, VH1 for Mob Wives,
Spike for Cops, TVLAND for Roseanne, Bravo for all the Wives shows and Million Dollar Listing, E for Kardashians....etc
Most people aren't only on one channel.
