In response to the DOJ's egregious politicization of Stone’s sentencing, a bipartisan group of more than 2,600 former DOJ lawyers has noted that Attorney General Bill Barr was “doing the President’s personal bidding” and called on him to resign.
That's nice.
.

the liberals think people that support their political position are bipartisan. thats funny

the judge just wanted an excuse to hit him with a gag order. So he couldn't defend himself in the media but others were free to attack him and spin lies at will.

early morning swat team raids for a paper crime and gag orders during a trial. How do you like your law and order now?

I do not like his attitude. He skirts and breaks the law, not in order to stick up for some downtrodden little guy or humanitarian cause, but to lick the boots of his powerful masters, increase his bank account and his own personal position. When you support someone who acts against your interests and against the interests of your countrymen, breaking your country's laws in the process, I've got to question your motives and your mental capacity.

dude you got it bad. step back and take a deep breath. Roger Stone is a nut job and wacko media personality . Nothing more .
lay off the CNN

i dont remember him being charged with threatening a federal judge? you didnt make that up did you.

you wont report this post for hurting your feelings will you?
Stone posted a tweet that someone on the internet that knew nothing about guns claimed had a rifle scope crosshairs in the corner of the image and was threatening the judge. The judge ran with that and used it as an excuse to hit him with a gag order. It wasn't a crosshairs, just a symbol from the original site in the background and in no way could be interpreted as aiming at the judge. Stone apologized because he knew the dirty judge wanted to keep him silenced but predictably the judge hit him with the gag order anyway.

This commutation violates standard practice under Department of Justice guidelines.

“A request for a commutation of a prison sentence generally is not accepted unless and until a person has begun serving that sentence,” the guidelines read. “In addition, a commutation request generally is not accepted from a person who is currently challenging his or her conviction or sentence through appeal or other court proceeding.”

Dense donald’s longtime friend and ally managed to secure an exception.

"Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Grant of Clemency commuting the unjust sentence of Roger Stone, Jr. Roger Stone is a victim of the Russia Hoax that the Left and its allies in the media perpetuated for years in an attempt to undermine the Trump Presidency."

  • The Russia investigation was not a hoax, and it did not originate from Democrats or the media. The investigation began in July 2016 after the FBI received a tip about potential coordination between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. The FBI director at the time was James Comey, a Republican.
  • Later, after Trump fired Comey in May 2017, the Trump-appointed Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed Robert Mueller as special counsel to continue the investigation. Rosenstein and Mueller are both Republicans. The Justice Department inspector general said the probe was legally opened in 2016.

the president has the power to do this. you libs agreed with that during the Obama years. suddenly you're outraged when a president uses that power.

Donald also used that power to free black women from the chains that were put on them by bidens oppresive crime bill.

Its interesting watching you libs try to straddle the fence and express law and order outrage when you previously cheered on Stones railroading and lynching.

its interesting watching you argue agasint the release of Stone while your lib administrations all over the country are releasing real criminals using covid 19 as an excuse .

i guess stones health is not as important to you as the murderers and rapists being release.

"This is why the out-of-control Mueller prosecutors, desperate for splashy headlines to compensate for a failed investigation, set their sights on Mr. Stone."
  • Mueller's team was supervised by Rosenstein and later by acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker, and in its final months by Attorney General William Barr. If Mueller or any member of his team broke Justice Department rules, they could have been reassigned or terminated by Rosenstein, Whitaker or Barr.
  • Also, there's nothing in the public record to support the claim that Mueller's team "set their sights" on Stone in the late stages of the investigation. In fact, according to unsealed search warrants, Mueller obtained search warrants against Stone in summer 2017, months after taking over the investigation.
