Message: <blockquote data-quote="dannyboy" data-source="post: 493014" data-attributes="member: 484">Actually Wrench is making the same point as I was making.   And TPL, no, the seat belts are not put on the car at the body builder, they are installed, along with the seat at the factory where the frame, motor, trans, wheels are put together. The assembly is then trucked to the body builder.  But the seat and belts are already installed by the factory, which makes it safety equipment.  Which none of the items that sober mentioned are factory installed safety equipment. As far as safety team, there is nothing your local safety team can do, this is something that has to be handled at the national level.  Been there, done that. d</blockquote>
