There's evidence that the narrow isthmus that separates Turkey from Europe was once a narrow strip of land that gave way, causing the Mediterranean to flood what is now the Black Sea. Ruins have been found on the Black Sea floor. Also there's been new discoveries in Greenland in just the last couple of years of two huge meteor or comet strikes that occurred some time about 11,500 to 12,800 years ago. Glaciers that had been retreating from the Ice Age rapidly built up again. And when the earth recovered there was massive flooding as those massive glaciers rapidly melted. The Sumerians had a story about an earth wide flood called the Epic of Gilgamesh. Abraham at one time lived in the Sumerian city of Ur. By the way I'm sure you're aware of the giant mammals that live in Africa. North America used to have many giant animal species. Scientists have determined they all died off in a relatively short period of time and blamed it on humans making their way from Asia. Now it's been realized that they all died off about the time of the Greenland meteor strikes. As well as evidence of massive flooding has been found in the Columbia River Gorge. Why do you think we have observatories watching our skies so intently? We pass through a meteor belt twice a year which contains meteors large enough to destroy civilization and possibly kill all of us. And plenty of smaller ones that can take out whole cities. There was one that struck Siberia in if I remember right in 1905 or about that would've killed millions in a populated area. The thing is we don't know the exact nature of God but we have mythology from many civilizations that give us clues. If we believe in God we must take it on faith that it's true. Genesis 6 talks about the sons of God breeding with the daughters of men. Their offspring were giants called the Nephilim. Do we believe that or not? If not then what's to be believed?
