Nothing wrong with learning the good things about your country. And there's nothing wrong with learning the bad. That's my view. It's good to be widely read.
Yes, republicans have it all wrong. It's not being taught in public k-12 schools. From the Yahoo News article linked above:
“Republicans have expressed opposition to critical race theory, which holds that the U.S. is inherently racist and that skin color is used to create and maintain social, economic, and political inequalities between whites and nonwhites, saying that the philosophy relegates all white people to the role of oppressors and all people of color to that of victims.”
Is this what you consider “learning about the bad”? No problem with it being taught in public schools? Do Republicans have it all wrong? Is this not actually what critical race theory is?
I am not afraid to have my children look at the history of our country honestly. From the Yahoo News article linked above:

That has nothing to do with critical race theory.I am not afraid to have my children look at the history of our country honestly.
Why pretend things didn’t happen in the name of “patriotism”?
History is a great teacher.

You dodged his question completely.Trying to help the little shifter keep up
This is what I consider learning about the bad, yes. Learning things that challenge the learner. If academics believe it's valuable then I say let's allow them to carve out some time to expose students to these ideas. From the Yahoo News article linked above:

You are not going to convince any of these clowns to use more critical thought lolCritical Raxe Theory

We need more critical thought, not less.
Yes it is.Yes, republicans have it all wrong. It's not being taught in public k-12 schools.
Most people don't want to learn how our laws and institutions came to be and why academics call those laws and institutions part of "systemic racism". It's hard to hear. You are not going to convince any of these clowns to use more critical thought lol
They cling to their perception of the world because that is all they are willing to accept. It must be easy to be simple?
Which law do you think is racist? Most people don't want to learn how our laws and institutions came to be and why academics call those laws and institutions part of "systemic racism". It's hard to hear.
Look dispassionately at the history of the Drug War and mandatory minimum sentencing, the Electoral College, the filibuster, housing policing (i.e. redlining). Some of these institutions persist and some linger only in recent history, but they've had an impact. This is what I understand CRT seeks to explain and explore.Which law do you think is racist?
No it's not.Yes it is.
