BTW , since we are all basing our future on the genius of Andrea Ocasio-Cortez and her unknown scientist's somebody should probably tell them that constant exposure to electricity is also known to cause cancer in people !!! And also batteries are very limited in their capabilities but they also contain lead and acid which are also very harmful to the environment . Some recycling would be involved but eventually would end up in landfills !!! And electric vehicles also require a certain amount of oil , not for the engine itself but for the other components of the vehicle like the transmission !!!

The IPCC are not "unknown scientists". Lithium-ion batteries do not contain lead or acid. Most chemical components of lithium-ion batteries can be recycled. The oil in electric cars is a very small amount compared to a gasoline car.
The downsides have more to do with mining for lithium, the costs of recycling, and the strain on our current power grid handling that many electric vehicles.

Anyone legitimate scientist is not going to look at this data which is non-political and put his name on any radical political statement !!! Lithium batteries that are used in cell phones etc with excess usage has been known to cause brain cancer !!! Lithium batteries are every bit as toxic as non-lithium batteries and as you stated the cost of recycle is extremely expensive !!! And the point I'm making about electric vehicles is , regardless of the amount of oil that is required in all mechanical equipment and including plastics ethanol etc. getting rid of oil is an unrealistic goal And there is nothing wrong with oil as long as it is handled properly !!!

Because solar & wind will never fully meet the demands needed.
Our grid network is old and outdated.
Here we currently use natural gas, which is drilled from the ground by oil rigs.
The very industry that Biden wants to kill off.
Also what are his plans to upgrade our power transmission grid ?
I recall a really deep freeze winter that shutdown all of the U.K.'s windmills , just at the time when they needed that extra power to keep from freezing.
Has Biden seen the articles about the worn out windmill blades , that are currently filling up all the landfills ?
