Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 6059975" data-attributes="member: 24302"><p>I read it.  They talked past each other.  Nothing was set.  Of course the NATO powers wanted a proxy war.  But when have you seen Putin say to the international community that he was willing to end the war by giving the Ukrainians what they want?  Do you think the only thing holding Ukraine back from pursuing peace, giving Russia what they want, is Washington and London?  They don't want to cede territory.  But they're going to have to but Russia is going to have to accept Ukraine's right to exist and be protected by NATO.  Not NATO troops or missiles in Ukraine, but NATO coming to their defense if Russia or anyone else tries to conquer Ukraine.</p></blockquote><p></p>
