I have several people in my family and friends who are in the medical industry and have seen many doctors on TV who are pretty smart people and the general consensus is that Dr Fauci is a phony and doesn't know his butt from a hole in the ground , he is getting sucked up into politics and all this attention he is getting but actually does not do any of the work or the research other smart people do!!!

Donald Trump paraded Dr. Fauci around for months. 99% of Americans had no idea who Dr. Fauci was! He was Trumps pick though to be the voice!

He is considered to be the foremost expert , to be fair Fauci was paraded around more so by the media hoping he would contradict Trump .
so at one point when Fauci did not deliver the media accused Trump of putting a muzzle on the good doctor.
Trump will give anyone a chance to prove them selves . When Fauci's advice was often wrong and Fauci proved to be a media whore Trump started distancing himself from the guy and relying more on D. Berks.

You’re rewriting history! Donald Trump paraded out Dr. Fauci on Trumps first day of TV pressers. Fauci was Trump’s choice and only Trumps choice. The media had zero to do with Trumps choice to be the voice of coronavirus.

Trump had press confrences . Dems said they wanted to hear experts. here comes the fauci, berks , the surgeon general , the head of the CDC and the head of HHS , and other Epidemiologlical experts.
The media then chose who they wanted to hear from out of that distinguised group. While all spoke with the media Fauci not only did so but promoted himself whenever and wherever he could . He was everywhere. His special treat for the media was he would speak to the audience. His delivery to Fox viewers was different then his delivery to CNN viewers even though a guy who supposedly sticks to the science should give the same answer regardless of what network he is on.
with Fauci you therefore had controversy . So he would comment on things his science and facts should not really speak to. In those cases he should say my advice will be this and its then up to the policy makers to decide. He never held back he went into policy answers too much.

As per usual the big shots , the ones that you see on TV all the time are not the ones that make the biggest difference , it's the people behind the scenes that do all the work . Dr Fauci has come out and said some very negative things about the outlook and future of this virus and that is not very professional it gets people upset . That would be like a doctor coming to you and saying yeah you're screwed sorry dude ! Other experts however have a different view on this and remain very positive !!!
