This is pure publicity,maybe this guy saves 5 miles but pas and edd add on 90 million miles for all the drivers that dont live in Springfield...it works,but the massive tweaking
of every route is secondary to profit.

That's interesting. For a fair and balanced report they could have added. 'Gone are the days of supervisors familar with loops shifting volume to adjacent routes. Now the dispatching is done abstractly from behind a computer screen by someone adjusting numbers with limited grasp beyond the keyboard.' With PAS we now have two, rather than one package car covering the small subdivision I reside in. Thus far I've been one of the lucky ones with delivery from the 11:00 am run. The house next door doesn't share the same fortune and they don't quite understand why they wait another 5 hours for their parcel.

Just as many people don't understand why an express envelope going from Akron to Milwalkee goes through Louisville, first. That doesn't make it any less efficient.
