UPS (NYSE:UPS - News) will conduct an Investor's Meeting on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003, in New York City.
The theme of the meeting is, "Synchronizing Commerce: A Platform for Profitable Growth," and it will be open to reporters and the public via a live Webcast. There will be no call-in phone numbers.
During the session, four senior executives will make presentations addressing such things as UPS's financial outlook for 2004; the company's view of competition in the U.S. domestic and international markets; progress in expanding UPS's capabilities to synchronize customer supply chains, and the financial impact of deploying various new technologies.
The four presenters will include Chairman and CEO Mike Eskew; Chief Financial Officer Scott Davis; David Abney, senior vice president for international operations, and John Beystehner, senior vice president for worldwide sales and marketing. There will be a Q&A session after the formal presentations.

I saw some notes from a corporate conference call that suggested we need to try to do an even better job of service while we have all this attention and scrutiny. The hope is to sell the value of this company by doing so. Probably not a bad idea.
