That’s true. But if one starts investing when they’re young they should have flexibility by the time they start retirement. But I agree it’s tricky and scary for most. We have a pension which is rare in the private sector. Makes it easier. But no match on the 401k either.

thats what happened to me. but i will still save on housing when i decide to buy somewhere reasonable instead of getting sucked into certain bad cities
