Useless Trivia

Mailing an entire building has been illegal in the U.S. since 1916 when a man mailed a 40,000-ton brick house across Utah to avoid high freight rates.

Two days later his sup wrote the driver up for driver releasing it.

There are 100 pleats on a chef's hat...it stands for the 100 ways a chef should know how to prepare/use eggs

Average lifespan of a major league baseball is 7 pitches.

111,111,111 x 111,111,111 = 12,345,678,987,654,321

that's cool a nine digit number that times itself equals a number that climbs up to 9 and down again.

Did you also know that any multiple of 9 has it's individual digits equal to 9. For example , 72 which is 8 times 9 ,. 7 plus 2 equals 9.
the converse is also true, any number whose digits equal 9 is a multiple of nine . and in this case the individual digits of the number 12,345,678,987,654,321 add up to 81 which in turn , it's digits add up to 9.

So we have a multiple of 9 based on that rule and sure enough 9 times 1,371,742,109,739,369 equals 12,345,678,987,654,321.

I play trivial pursuit everyday on a website, for useless tokens, although cheaper than going to a casino.

Anyways, the questions are challenging and sometimes I know the answers, and other times, I have to take the quiz again.

And you never know when useless trivia will come up in a convesation.

So knowledge is knowledge and you know more than you did the day before.

but who likes multiplying by 9 ugh , 223 times 9 please

better way is to multiply by 223 by 10 which is 2230 and then take away 223 which gives you 2007 which is the same result as multiply 223 by 9. P.S. we know that answer is probably correct because the digits of 2007 add up to 9

while we are on the subject, 223 times 11 ugh, how about 223 times ten which is 2230 and then add 223 which gives us 2453 which is the same result you get when you multiply 223 by 11.

10 , what a great number
