So, is the American taxpayer responsible for Flores' death? We provided the money that Van der Sloot used to get to Peru. Taxpayer dollars were used by Van der Sloot to be in a position to murder that girl.
This was just a fools move by the FBI. Instead of arresting him as soon as they could have, they waited hoping he'd take more money down the line so they could get a longer sentence. The FBIs gamble killed that young girl.
