Thank-you. We on the left have never been "anti-war". We have been anti-Bush, anti-Republican justification for a needless war. Especially when that justificat ion changed by the week and any attempts to bring attention to that fact brought the crazy folk out of the Republican party to call us anti-American. I guess the same can be said of republicans in that they weren't anti-adultry during the Clinton years either!

Just goes to show that neither party has any real or committed principles other than to seek and obtain by whatever means necessary as much power as they can for their own self serving interests. Isn't that GREED!

BTW: If the war was wrong under Bush and doing so under false pretenses as you pointed out above, then if Obama prolongs and continues such war, is he also not doing the same as Bush and under the same false pretenses?

True change of heart or did Georgie boy just take 9 months to realize the Broadway Play he's been a part of for some many years had changed his script? I'm betting the delay in script reading!


But the Obama adminstration's status quo does have it's solid supporters for sure.

I'm not sure about everything you've just posted, but Obama (and myself) has always maintained that military action was necessary in Afganistan and that Iraq was a distraction. To disengage from Iraq will be tricky, but it will be done. To further engage in Afganistan, while not necessarily desired, must be done to make up for that distraction. Obama has been nothing but clear on that fact.

But when he says "Let me be clear...." there's a chorus of right-wing nut jobs asking for birth certificate, crying about pulling the plug on grandma, and insisting that socialism is on the march. He almost has to insist on his clarity through that cesspool of fear mongering.
