Can’t remember if we had to work the day before and after holiday to get the holiday pay. Or is it just one or the other?

All 5 Federal holidays are classified, in all contracts, as a day off with pay.
If they fall on Sat, or Sun that's the rub, most pay.
But, I am a scab, so what do I know.

He's not asking if they are paid holidays. He's asking what days he has to work so that he qualifies for the paid holiday.
He's/ her's question was;
Can’t remember if we had to work the day before and after holiday to get the holiday pay. Or is it just one or the other?
Holiday pay is in all the contracts and are clearly stated, same as accrued vacation weeks.
Not knowing, or remembering, is his/her problem.
The union should better inform the members of their hard fought for rights.

We are the union. Something you couldn't understand while you were scabbing.

This is why I'm trying to help him. If you don't want to that's fine. You obviously just want to troll the union forum anyways.

Every union member should be given a copy of the contract they work under and read/study it.
Most do not.
Help your fellow union members, by distributing the pocket carry booklet that contains the entire contract.
Just yesterday, a dear friend and I had a talk on the phone.
35yrs+ union driver called into "the" office.
The union steward that was there and agreed with the center manager that he was wrong about the contract and should be penalized.
He whipped out his pocket carry booklet, and proved both of them wrong.
The way to help union people is to educate them on the facts of employment.
I have zero problem with unions, except the teamsters.
"We are the union", your words.
I guess we should just paint our ass white and run with the herd.
Obviously, I scabbed for a definite reason in 1997.
