Why doesn't the driver scan the maxicode?

I scan high value/RS/ARS at all scheduled pickups, I even scan on calls.

Which one, on calls? That’s out of habit. We’re still supposed to scan ARS and high values

You do not scan on calls and the only time you scan RS is when someone hands you one on area. Fact.

Why does the ups driver always scan the barcodes? Isn't this outdated technology when there is a maxicode right on the package. Ive never seen a driver scan the maxi code when they are picking up my packages.

Weird. Our management doesn’t want the pickups scanned. It saves time. Also causes a huge headache with missing packages. We aren’t very ethical here.

I was trained to scan everything that I pick up. Only time I don't is when I pick up big bags of smalls at Macys or Target. Or if the pickup has a summary barcode. I've always scanned ODS pickups, never heard/been told to do otherwise.

I had one pickup that the company has lost or misplace 39 boxes during transportation that I was directed to scan every box and the end of day. Some of the boxes where found 2 months later underneath sort areas at different centers.
