I can basically do everything a driver does, except drive the truck. I know the diad inside and out, cod's, diad transfers, pick ups, etc. The way we work (i've worked with the same guy a few years in a row) is he simply takes one side and I take the other. While the other one is running the box out, the one still in the truck is getting the next stop lined up. I've worked with a handful of drivers due a vacation week here or there and the one driver actually offered my regular guy $500 to let him keep me. (which he declined) I've heard from many a driver that helpers are often times not what their names are, hah, but, I'm one of the good ones. I would only assume the inside helpers make the better ones, since they usually have some familiarity with the labels and where to find things. Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers by bringing it up, didn't realize it was such a hot button issue. No offense meant to anyone who got upset.
