They call it working smarter, not harder.

You can write off any unreimbursed job expenses on your income taxes.
Smart is subjective.
A write off is overrated and not the same as free.
Either way, I'm not buying equipment to help me work faster and make less money.
Maybe that's why my management team seldom dispatches me much work after dark.

Lights that equipment up like daylight for doing that pre-trip in a dark customer lot.

The Petzl headlamps are handsfree so I just look at house numbers from my chair without unbuckling. foursevens.com has cool flashlights for everything else.

Is that correct? Only 3 hrs run time @ 10 %?

I suppose if you left it on continuously, it would last three hours.

I rarely have it on for more than a few moments, to find house numbers.

The on button can be used as a momentary switch - the light will come on only while you depress the button, or you can fully click the button and the flashlight will stay on.

I've had this flashlight for two years and I think I've changed the batteries once...

I use a little Surefire flashlight. The same the military mounts on their rifles. Fits in the palm of my hand and lights up a mailbox from VERY far away.
