I don’t run linehaul myself yet so I’m not sure. I know it depends on what terminal you run out of, if it’s a dedicated run or unassigned, if it’s a solo or team run etc. I’d recommend routeconsultant.com they have a lot of info on the linehaul business and what type of margins to expect.

Just a matter of time and it will just be FedEx, a all contractor model! Then FedEx freight will be sold.
Remember, contractor/owner operator Fedex Custom Critical was moved into the Fedex Freight OPCO. If they do anything with Freight it will be going to all contractor/owner operator provided that a network wide on time delivery percentage of 61% is good enough for Fat Freddy and Raj....and they'll be doing good if they even get that.
