clarity on seniority needed

I work in small sort, and with about 5 or 6 guys with less seniority than me I get sent down to help in the unload because I am the lowest seniority person that is "SPA certified", noone I asked has ever heard of such a term...

Monday I am going to speak with a full time sup along with a steward to clear this up, as from what I understand they are breaking contract by not choosing lowest seniority first.

The people under me in small sort can SPA as well so I dont understand how I became SPA certified without signing anything.

Just wanted to hear your opinions on this matter, and maybe give me a bit of info that I could use to defend myself with.

In most hubs small sort is a bid job. If that is the case here then OP has grounds. If in his hub it is just a preferred job, then WAD.
