Does accepting a severance package cancel the RHPA account?

Just wondering if anyone that has accepted the severance and was eligible to get the RHPA account (Retiree Health Reimbursement Arrangement) still received it along with the severance package. To be eligible to get it you have to have 20 years service with Express and be at least 55 years old. If you accept severance you are giving up your rights to file for unemployment compensation. Just wondering if this cancels this account as well? If so it would make for an interesting decision for what we all assume is coming our way.

Knowing Fedex these days it’s probably gonna be one or the other, not both. Another factor is the RHPA money is not taxed and unless you can send severance direct to an IRA there will be big tax hit.
