How do I file a grievance and what is the process like?

Talked to a shop steward today about supervisors working and he told me my rights about filing grievances. I told him I would like to file a grievance. I was told to write down the times any supervisor is working and hand it to him with my name and seniority.

Now what is the process after that? I'm being told by other part timers that the stewards are crooked and he will either throw the grievance out or write his own n ame down and not mine and to keep the money for myself.

I don't know if this is true or not. Is there a way I can fill out the grievance papers myself or do I always have to go to a shop steward?

Any information would be great. Thank you.

Yes , or go by your local union and pick the forms up yourself . Also be sure to write down the grievance number (identification number)
