How does pay work as a road driver for freight?

How does the pay work for freight do you get hourly pay while you drive with your miles, or do you only get mileage?

I don't know this with certainty but I would assume it would be different if you are a city driver or a road driver.

i'll try to dig up some of my road checks and post them asap.

But anytime you arrive at a terminal, you clock in---and thus get paid for dropping/hooking trailers, fueling, dockwork(if any), paperwork, logging, etc.
