So tempted (I will not do it) but I am tempted.

707 Horsepower and 650 Foot Pounds of Torque, and a factory warranty.

The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT... Lord help me to resist!

Sigh flashback to my youth.

Every auto I had from 1972 to 1990 had modifications and
horsepower.

Took me soooo long to grow up in that area.

Now I have 4 cylinder, 22 to 28 miles per gallon, and cheaper insurance.

But this 707 horse new 2015 American Muscle car makes me long for
those former days.

Going on 58, must chill and beat down that young childlike boy desire
and let common sense rule.

Still would be nice to be able to have it in the driveway for weekend only cruises.

Midlife crisis is more in the 40's. 58 is more the time for golf carts and high waist pants.

Hope you got a crap load of $. Will easily be over 60k sticker.
Agree. But the fantasy of starting up 707 horse, and going for a cruise
still enters my mind.

The most you could get from the factory years ago was 450 horse
and 500 foot pounds of torque in the late 60's early 70's.

The automotive industry has come such a long way in this area.

They make it so hard, for an old repentant hot rodder to
ignore the offers. I am due a new auto soon.

Sigh may common sense, great fuel mileage, and the auto that will
not get me tickets dominate. :-)

If your kids are grown up, you are set money wise for retirement and you make good money, why not? Who made the rules that horsepower was just for the young? Nothing like hitting the gas pedal and feeling an immediate response..

I could afford a toy like that Challenger but I would also be almost too scared to drive it. I used to drive fast cars but my reaction time is way slower than it used to be and I realize my limits.

It comes with 2 set of keys. One that enables the full 707 horsepower, the other for the "wife" with about 200 less. Maybe the "wife's" set would be more for your liking.

Truthfully, I was looking at the 2015 Mercedes C class for my next auto.

2 liter, 241 horse.

I will peruse this, rather than the 707 horse boy toy.

Wisdom comes with age. Just sharing a fantasy that lurks.

707 horse, tickets, poor gas mileage, or a great ride, dependability,
comfort, and common sense shall rule.
