CSP meeting this morning dropped this on us apparently, FedEx is becoming the Olympics. Contractors will now be rated as bronze, silver or gold. Bronze tier contractors will be required to have weekly meetings with terminal management over how to improve their metrics, while golds will receive better contracts (supposedly) and have first dibs on abandoned or taken territory.

contractor rating will also determine the max size of your operation 35% of the building is what we were told is the new max is and the lower your rating the lower that percentage goes.

Supposedly this goes live February 2nd anyone else know anything about this?

It will be fine

I can’t imagine how anyone could actually believe weekly meetings with terminal management would improve an operation. Terminal management is terrible at running their own operation, why would their input be valuable to mine?

Just a few years ago they were taking away area from contractors because they didn't want 1 person owning more than like 10-20% of the routes in the building. 35% is wild.

we were effectively forced to sell half of ours while we were at 18% about a year ago. same with another in our building safe to say SRM locked himself in his office for fear of his life after telling us.

Very much reminds me of how ebay deals with their sellers.

I can't imagine how you haven't realized that XG management thinks exactly that little of their contractors.

Their input is "valuable" cuz they went to college.

So contractors are now in 3 different classes huh? So did the Titanic.
Obviously the best testicle service specialists will be the "gold" contractors.
Look, whether you're a "Gold" contractor, a "Silver" contractor or a "Bronze" contractor you still have the same damn problem. Finding somebody willing to go out there and kill himself for nothing.
The "Gold" contractor will be the testicle stimulator who takes on territory and covers it a loss just to pleasure his master. Areas that are simply too depressed , too hard to access too little revenue production and will lose money no matter who covers them.

This childish little caper is clearly indicative of a desperate, directionless company reduced to playing favoritism with contractors in an effort to get them to undertake tasks that are not in the best interest of the contractor.

How do they determine which category (bronze, silver, gold) a contractor falls in? What metrics do they use to decide?

same way negotiations does is my understanding so pretty much your csp indicators plus safety score.

were diversified and have other businesses that are loosely connected to ground that benefit from it still existing but its no longer our main source of income.
