I understand SVB was one of the leaders in the banking industry in promoting social equity, Environmental social governance, ESG, LGBTQ inclusion and reducing carbon footprint. That should make depositors who lost millions feel better. They did their part.

The majority of deposits were from rich liberals. FDIC only insures the first 250k so most of that money is unsecured. Go woke, go broke.LoL

I give you props for understanding what he says.
I’m not certain I do. But if the criticism is where
SVB had money invested, I doubt that will even matter. Banking is all interconnected. That a bank advertises that it invests in “woke” causes doesn’t mean it doesn’t invest in a company that specializes in widgets that are critical components used in fracking.
Paraphrasing a bank official from the 2008 crisis, “If you don’t stop us, we’ll continue to do it. The profits make it so.”

So, politically speaking, would the House have to approve the bailout and if so, would they? Would approving it be political suicide or seen as a necessary evil?
